Today a very good friend of mine noted a thought provoking point. She said that being teenagers in an all girls school we are prone and even programmed to over think. Now this as you may gather from the numerous tumblr posts, over thinking is a detriment to each and every mind that explodes with the infinite variations and possible outcomes of a scenario.
I do not in any way intend to appear sexist (especially not against my own gender) but let’s face it, when it comes to a class of ardent girls you’re bound to reach a conclusion to fit the definition of loco. A practical example would be the dilemma of whether to ‘text him first’. More effort filled thought goes into this mindless action than an entire congregation of intelligentsia. Then again, I suppose boys will be boys (in the sense that you’re incompetent and incapable of texting first) but then too girls will be girls (and over think to the point of a natural disaster within the space of two ears).
The question is why do it if it makes you an unstable, mentally deranged schizoid? Statistics suggest that females are analytical and tend to look deeper into matters. Being constantly surrounded by a female population reaching well over 1000, could it be that this trait has been magnified? Am I at more risk of being an over-thinker because I hang out with ladies every day of my 5 day week?
Unfortunately I don’t have the answer but you’ve probably gathered via this post that I’m over thinking it. However as an act of evolvement my aforementioned friend and I have vowed to have a liberal outlook thus diminishing our loads of over thinking
